According to Moheet website, the forum was held in Al-Ibki Mosque with the cooperation of Quran Memorization Department of Gaza’s Awqaf Organization and Al-Darj Local Mosques Center in the city.
Present at the gathering were Monzer Al-Qamari, general director of Gaza’s Awqaf Office; Emad Al-Dejni, head of Quran Memorization Office; Muhammad Al-Ezami, head of Quran Memorization Department in Awqaf Organization, as well as a number of other prominent figures.
The forum began following the evening prayers in Al-Ibki Mosque. It included recitations of the holy Quran in different styles such as “Hamzeh” and “Kasaee” by famous reciters, as well as a Quranic contest on the sidelines.
Speaking at the ceremony, Munzar Al-Qamari stressed the importance of familiarizing people with various Quranic recitations, appreciating the attempts made by Gaza’s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs to hold such forums.
He further appreciated the role of Quran Memorization Office and the department in the Awqaf Organization in serving the holy Quran and offering various Quranic recitations and interpretations.
Also, Emad Al-Dejni referred to the constant efforts made by Palestine’s Awqaf Organization in establishing Quran instruction centers in different regions and promoting the Quranic culture among people.
